Veloxrotaphobia, more commonly known as coasterphobia, is the fear of being on a roller coaster. It is often due to a person suffering acrophobia (fear of heights), claustrophobia, or traumatic experiences or of hearing about tragedies involving roller coasters, like a person falling off the roller coaster. It can often be triggered due to being dizzy on the roller coaster, feeling nauseas and even vomiting from it, and hearing roaring sounds and people screaming.

Symptoms of veloxrotaphobia include shortness of breath, rapid breathing, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, heart palpitations, dizziness, dread, panic, and anxiety. Is it commonly treated using cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, and self-help.
