Thermophobia is the fear or aversion to heat and hot places. Triggers of thermophobia include getting burned, getting parched by it, sweating, and simply couldn't tolerate the heat. Sufferers would avoid operating or even getting near the things where they often emit heat, like stoves, fires, fireplaces, grills, furnaces, and vents. Symptoms include parched mouth, heightened senses, breathlessness, hyperventilation, feeling like being trapped, and an intense feeling of an impending disaster.
