Kakophobia (from Greek kakos meaning bad) is the fear of bad situations. People try to avoid getting into bad situations while at times staying away from things that could do harm to them. But kakophobes would do lot harder to avoid these. If kakophobia gets involved in bad situations, s/he may result in symptoms like rapid breathing, rapid heartrate, nausea, sweating, shaking, panic attacks, and urge to flee. There are wide variety of options to treat kakophobia, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, exposure therapy using fake situations, psychotherapy, and medications.
