Triakosioitriakontatriophobia (from Greek triakosioi, "three hundred", triakonta, "thirty", and trio, "three") is the fear of the number 333. It could be feared because it is exactly half of the commonly feared number 666, commonly known in popular culture as the Devil's Number. Mathematically, it could also be feared because of it being 3 times of the number 3 in digits, or 3×111, which is a 3-digit number with all 3 numbers the same and adding up the digits of 111 gives you 3. The most common source for the fear of 333 is that it is a demonic number, which originated from a 16th century writing that depicts the demon Choronzon. Those suffering from triakosioitriakontatriophobia and demonophobia would feel worry that a demon may attack them when it is 3:33am, which is within the period when demons are most active.
