Baby

Brephophobia (from Greek brephos, baby), also known as infantophobia (from Latin infans, baby) is the fear of infant. It is more commonly suffered by adults, especially fertilizable women. The fear is commonly triggered due to miscarriage, and pressures on caring for baby. Women sufferers who have babies would leave her baby while having her husband or her parents take care of them. Sufferers would even avoid having photos of babies.

Sufferers who hear baby cry may irritate them. Symptoms of brephophobia include shaking, crying, trembling, feeling like out of control, and panic attack. It is treated using exposure therapy, talk therapy, anti-anxiety medications, etc.
